And 3 of the top 5 areas for raising a family in the DFW area are all in one area of Richardson Texas. Canyon Creek, Greenwood Hills, Arapaho Heights, and the Reservation are all top rated areas to raise kids according to niche.com. Southlake and Coppell take the remaining 2 spots on the top 5 best areas to raise kids list, but the cost of living and real estate in both of these cities is quite a bit more expensive than Richardson.
